Defender skated in one game with Hershey, will return to Manchester of ECHL
Hershey, PA – The Hershey Bears hockey team announced today that defender Justin Agosta has been released from his professional tryout agreement.
Agosta, 26, appeared in one game with Hershey, skating in the club’s 5-3 win at Binghamton on Feb. 3. He will return to the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL where he has enjoyed a strong season. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defender has scored 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) and posted a +17 plus/minus rating in 31 games with the Monarchs. He was named to the 2017 ECHL All-Star Classic. The second-year pro spent the majority of his rookie season in 2015-16 with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL, appearing in 41 games, scoring 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists).
Hershey visits Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight at 7:05 p.m. The game may be heard on the Bears Radio Network and on Capitals Radio 24/7. The club is back on home ice this Saturday for Capital BlueCross Baseball Cap Night and College Night Delivered by Papa John’s. Hershey hosts Hartford at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
