After picking up Crossroads League Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors on Monday, Danielle Wojciechowski picked up her second weekly award on Tuesday as she was named the NCCAA Women’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week. This also marks Wojciechowski’s second NCCCA weekly honor of the season.
Wojciechowski pulled double duty this week by competing at Notre Dame and IWU. At both events, she eclipsed the NAIA A standard, headlined by a BC track and field record-tying vault of 3.9 meters at Notre Dame. This is the third time this season the sophomore has either broke or tied the school record. Less than a month away from the NAIA national championships, Wojciechowski is currently seeded second in the country in the event and sits three one-hundredths out of a tie for the top spot in the standings.
The BC track and field program will compete one final time before diving into postseason competition. The Pilots will make their way to Bloomington this weekend to compete at the Indiana University Invite, which will be their final regular season meet of the 2017 indoor season.
