The series marked the head coaching debut of Nick Mingione…Junior 1B Evan White logged his 45th career multi-hit game with his two hits, including his 28th double. White also extended his hitting streak to 17 games…White missed the final two games of the series as a precaution with general soreness…On Friday, Feb. 17, sophomore RHP Sean Hjelle set career highs for innings (5.0) and pitches (83)…On Friday, Feb. 17, senior LHP Colton Cleary made his UK debut, giving up just one hit in two scoreless innings of work…On Saturday, Feb. 18, sophomore C Kole Cottam’s three hits set a career-high, besting the two hits he had in five games last season. It was his seventh multi-hit game. His three RBI tied a career-high and is his fifth multi-RBI game…On Saturday, Feb. 18, relievers Alec Maley (Jr./RHP), Mark Doerries (So./RHP) and Austin Keen (RFr./RHP) all made their UK debuts…On Sunday, Feb. 19 sophomore OF Tristan Pompey had two hits, giving him the eighth multi-hit game of his career…On Sunday, Feb. 19, junior second baseman Riley Mahan’s two-run homer was the seventh of his career and produced the eighth multi-RBI game of his career…On Sunday, Feb. 19, senior left-handed reliever Logan Salow threw 5.0 innings of scoreless relief to keep Kentucky in the game.

Ø Hitting leadoff, Reks hit .636 with two runs scored, an RBI, a double, three walks and a stolen base in the Cats’ series at #17 North Carolina.

Ø Reks reached base in 10 of his first 11 plate appearances.

Ø He started the season 7-for-8 at the plate.

Ø Reks set the tone for his torrid weekend with a line drive single on the first pitch of the game Friday night against preseason All-American right-hander J.B. Bukauskas.

Ø Reks’ four hits on Saturday represented a career-high and was the 13th multi-hit game of his career. His previous career-high of three hits came against Tennessee on 4/3/2016.
