Minnesota to play at Xcel Energy Center on May 5 in its only home preseason game
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team’s preseason schedule for its 19th season of professional women’s basketball in Minnesota. To prepare for the 2017 WNBA season, the Lynx will play two exhibition games. The Lynx will host the Atlanta Dream on May 5 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul at 7 p.m. Minnesota will wrap up its preseason schedule in Washington on May 8 against the Mystics at 6 p.m.
Lynx season members will have the first opportunity to purchase their seats for the preseason game vs. the Dream at the member discounted rate. The Lynx will tip off the regular season with their home opener on Sunday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. against the Chicago Sky at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The team is relocating to the Xcel Energy Center for the entire 2017 season due to the previously announced major renovation and complete shutdown of Target Center taking place during the summer and early fall of 2017.
