WGAL-TV and the Baltimore Ravens have entered into a new partnership, naming WGAL 8 as an official broadcast partner in Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg/Lancaster/Lebanon/York television market through the 2022 season. As part of the agreement, WGAL 8 will be the area’s exclusive home of Ravens preseason games for the next six seasons.
The partnership connects the two-time Super Bowl champion Ravens and the Susquehanna Valley’s leading television station. In addition to preseason games, other Ravens programming, produced by the team’s in-house broadcasting group (Ravens Productions), will be seen on WGAL 8 during the partnership’s term.
The partnership also extends a long-standing connection between the Ravens and Hearst Television, parent company of WGAL 8. Since 2006, the Ravens Broadcast Team in Baltimore has consisted of Hearst-owned WBAL-TV, WBAL-AM and WIYY-FM.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership,” WGAL-TV president and general manager Kyle Grimes said. “With the growing number of Ravens fans in our viewing area, this is a great opportunity to amplify the Ravens’ presence in the Susquehanna Valley.”
