WINNIPEG, MB., – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has re-signed pending free agent linebacker Jesse Briggs.
Briggs has spent the past three seasons in Winnipeg since being drafted 17th overall by the Bombers in the 2014 CFL Draft. Briggs has played in every regular season game over his three CFL seasons, accumulating 29 special teams tackles, seven defensive tackles, and one fumble recovery.
“Jesse is one of those players who often flies under the radar to people outside of this building,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters. “But make no mistake, he is a tough football player who has persevered through many injuries over his time here and is a key piece of our special teams. He’s a valuable asset to our roster and getting him back was key for us.”
