LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced their 2017 Spring Training broadcast schedule for radio, which includes 16 radio broadcasts on AM 570 LA Sports and eight radio broadcasts on Univision Radio’s KTNQ 1020 AM. AM 570 LA Sports will broadcast 13 games from Arizona and three exhibition games, the Freeway Series, from Los Angeles and Anaheim. Univision Radio’s KTNQ 1020 AM will broadcast seven games from Arizona and the last exhibition game against the Angels at Dodger Stadium.
In the booth for AM 570 LA Sports will be veteran broadcasters Charley Steiner and Rick Monday as well as Ned Colletti and Jerry Hairston Jr. Four-time Emmy Award winner Steiner will start his 13th season as a play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers, while former Dodger outfielder Monday enters his 25th season as a Dodger broadcaster and his 33rd season overall with the organization.
In addition, AM 570 LA Sports Dodger Talk will air each weeknight hosted by David Vassegh and will showcase all the latest Dodgers news, key highlights and exclusive interviews with Dodger players and coaches. Vassegh will be onsite in Glendale, Arizona providing daily analysis, special reports and exclusive interviews throughout Spring Training to other AM 570 LA Sports shows including LA Today (noon-3 p.m.) and the Petros & Money Show (3 p.m.-7p.m.).
Univision Radio’s KTNQ 1020 AM, the Spanish language home of the Los Angeles Dodgers Radio Network, will feature Hall of Fame broadcaster and “the Spanish Voice of the Dodgers” Jaime Jarrin in the booth alongside son Jorge Jarrin, who joins Jaime for the third consecutive season. Jaime enters his 59th season in the radio booth, while son Jorge enters his third season on KTNQ 1020 AM. The Jarrins are the only father-son broadcasting team in MLB Spanish-language radio.
