WINDSOR, CO – The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced Tuesday that they will play two preseason games prior to the 2017-18 season against their longtime rival, the Rapid City Rush. The home-and-home preseason series will see the first game between the two clubs played at the Budweiser Events Center on Friday, October 6th at 7:05pm, with the preseason finale coming on Saturday, October 7th in Rapid City at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center at 7:05pm.
Colorado and Rapid City will meet a total of 15 times during the 2017-18 regular season, with eight of those games being played at the Budweiser Events Center and the remaining seven contests to take place in Rapid City. The two teams have faced each other 62 total times during the regular season, with the Eagles holding the advantage in the all-time series with a record of 39-20-3.
Individual tickets for the October 6th match-up against the Rush will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 22nd at 10:00am.
