Fort Wayne MG Schroeder and White Capture Tournament Titles


FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Two Fort Wayne men’s golfers recently captured individual championships in a pair of tournaments they played in. Zach Schroeder won the Indiana Golf Association (IGA) Match Play Championship on July 21, while Cody White won the Grant County Amateur Championship on July 23.

Schroeder, a raising junior, won five matches at the Tippecanoe Country Club en route to capturing the IGA title by winning his final match 1-up.

A rising sophomore, White came back from a two-stroke deficit on the final day to win by four shots with a final score of 69-73-73-70-285.

The pair will join the rest of the Mastodon squad when they kick off the 2017-18 season at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate September 8-10, in Zionsville, Indiana.
