Men’s Golf Begins Spring Season


SAVANNAH, Ga. – Adam Walden of the Savannah State University men’s golf team led the way for SSU with a one-over par 145 two round score to finish in a tie for 17th at the Invitational at Savannah Harbor.

Walden shot a three-over par 72 in the first round and a two-under par 70 in the second round, while Cole Madison finished tied for 49th with a two-round score of nine-over par 153, including an ever-par 72 in the first round.

Jaden Thiemann finished tied for 59th with a two-round score of 156, Zach Otto finished tied for 63rd with a two-round score of 157 and Ethan Otterbein finished 77th with a two-round score of 166.

As a team, Savannah State finished 11th with a two-round score of 609.

The Tigers continue the invitational with the final round Tuesday.
