Washington, Pennsylvania – The Washington Wild Things will be partnering with Big Time Wrestling to host an Aug. 11, 2017 show at Wild Things Park, located in Washington, Pennsylvania. Headlining the event will be WWE Hall of Famer, the Icon “Sting.”
“Big Time Wrestling has done some impressive shows all across the country, including Citi Field home of the New York Mets,” said Tony Buccilli, Director of Team Operations. “As an organization, we are ecstatic to have a legend like Sting in Washington, and we know wrestling fans will flock to see him.”
Sting was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016, as well as headlined Wrestlemania 31 vs. Triple H. As the face of WCW, Sting attracts fans of all ages, and was the driving force behind the ratings battle with WWE. His character is one of the most iconic in professional wrestling and crowds always erupt when opponents fall victim to a “Scorpion Death Drop,” “Scorpion Deathlock” or the “Stinger Splash”. Over his career, Sting held 25 championship titles and was named Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s “Most Popular Wrestler of the Year” a record four times.
